Digitalism is one of Germany’s most influential electronic acts, shaping the sound of the global indie and electronic music scene for more than two decades. Founded in Hamburg by Ismail Tüfekçi and Jens Moelle, the duo began their journey with DJ sets and self-produced remixes before developing a distinctive style that blends electronic music, indie rock, and club culture.

Digitalism achieved their international breakthrough in 2007 with the release of their debut album Idealism, a landmark record of its era that introduced iconic tracks such as Pogo and Zdarlight. Since then, the group has performed at some of the world’s biggest festivals and venues, earning a reputation as an electrifying live act with the energy and intensity of a rock band.

Committed to an independent creative vision, the musicians launched their own label, Magnetism, in 2017, gaining complete artistic freedom while preserving their signature sound: powerful beats, distorted synthesizers, memorable melodies, and a raw, live energy far removed from the polished sterility of conventional club music.

In 2026, Digitalism released their fifth studio album, Optimism. The record marks a vibrant return to the duo’s roots and captures everything that has made them beloved by fans around the world: euphoric melodies, driving rhythms, an unmistakable indie spirit, and the atmosphere of an endless night in a sprawling city. Featuring 12 tracks, including Space Invaders, Golden, Sirens, and City of Love, the album showcases Digitalism’s fresh perspective on contemporary electronic music. The duo describes Optimism as a journey in search of a better place — an explosion of color, melody, and hope in uncertain times.
