Kovacs in Tbilisi

A soulful singer with a distinctive voice, Sharon Kovacs gained international recognition with a unique style shaped by Betty Davis, Etta James, Tina Turner, Amy Winehouse, and Shirley Bassey. She started her career after studying in Tilburg and performing in Eindhoven.

Her breakthrough came in 2014 with the EP My Love, partly recorded in Cuba. The title track became a European hit, earning major recognition and awards. Her debut album Shades of Black (2015) topped the Dutch charts and led to performances at major festivals like Glastonbury and Sziget.
